Dr. Jonathan Crane, or as he’s known in the criminal underworld, Scarecrow, is known for his obsession with fears and phobias. The psychiatrist allowed his obsession to get out of hand, causing Crane’s career to crumble. Clearly insane, the doctor adopted the persona of a Scarecrow, and used his own formulated toxin to cause his victims to become overwhelmed with absolute fear. Claiming that his criminal spree is all in the same of science, Crane justifies his criminal activity in hopes of researching the power of fear in the human condition.
